Based on the ubiquitous Universal Carrier, the Wasp was modified with a powerful flamethrower - the fuel tanks replacing the rear troop compartment, and the nozzle projecting through the front armour. Built largely due to Canadian interest, the Wasp was the final iteration of a series of experimental flamethrower conversions of Universal Carriers. First seeing service in Europe in 1944, the Wasp was a vehicle that required brave crews - its light armour and short-range weapon made it particularly vulnerable to enemy fire. However, it could strike terror into the hearts of even veteran German troops. Many enemies would surrender rather than face down the lethal deluge of lfmaes that the Wasp could project, making these vehicles invaluable for assaulting strongpoints and defensive positions.
A Wasp is a great addition to any British Armoured Platoon in Bolt Action. Its flamethrower is capable of dealing with enemy infantry and vehicles alike, making it a dangerous opponent on the tabletop.
