The PT-76 is the standard reconnaissance tank of the Soviet Army. It is amphibious and armed with the 76.2mm D-56T rifled tank gun. It serves in the reconnaissance units of tank divisions and motor rifle divisions of the Red Army, as well as in Soviet naval rifle divisions.
